LSD Ride Series - Saturday Mornings
The LSD Ride Series (Long Slow Distance) is a Saturday morning ride designed to be laid back and leisurely, with speeds as slow as 10 mph average. These rides are designed for those who like to go long distances, but aren't necessarily in any hurry to get there. These rides will start shorter but get progressively longer as the year goes on and the riders build more fitness. Eventually, as the rides get longer, they will have destinations such as breakfast in Denton, NC (later in the season). Our ride leader is Steve Mosier, who is an experience touring cyclist. If you have any questions, email Steve at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . This Saturday's LSD ride will leave from the Gold Hill Post Office at 8 am, and we'll ride to Denton for breakfast. It will be a short ride, only 32 miles round trip, but I want to start experimenting with some breakfast rides that don't involve leaving Concord via Sapp Road. We'll have a nice scenic ride without any significant hills. steve C4 Thur. TRG Ride 6:00PMC4 TRG Ride - Thursday 6:00PM

ATTENTION: There are 2 bridges out on the old Flowe route, so we will need to transition to an UNMARKED new route for the next few months. OLD ROUTE INFORMATION
We have redesigned the route and this ride is now marked and ready for anyone to ride. We have a standing ride at 2PM on Sunday but you can do it any time. Just look for this mark.
NOTE: Sept 29, 2011: Ongoing repaving in the area has faded of removed a few C4 marks on the route. If you run across a mark that has been obscured, please let me know at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
The route begins at W.W. Flowe Park right behind Central Cabarrus High School on Central Heights Rd. right off of HWY 49. This is a 36.54 mile route with rolling hills, that passes through three counties. Great scenery, little traffic and great people! This is a Show and Go ride. I would encourage anyone interested to sign up on the mailing list (upper right corner of the site) or check the forum, for up to the minute participation and information,

SAMBO Ride
SAMBO Ride - Saturday 8:00 AM
The SAMBO (Saturday AM Bike Outing) features A, B, and C rides intended to accommodate most levels of riders. All groups will leave from The Right Gear in Kannapolis at 8am every Saturday. A, B, & C Rides will have a pickup point at the Food Lion on South Union Street. The pack usually comes by between 8:15 and 8:30.
If it is raining at the start, then the ride will be canceled, but if we start and get caught out, the we'll "call an audible" on the road. We have been known to ride when the temperature is in the teens so don't assume that no one will be there!
