Hi Folks, we've created a new Facebook group that pulls in the news from our main C4 web site and twitter into one central location.  Be sure to "Like" our new page here:

Tuesday Ride Has Changed Start Locations

We are moving the start/finish for the Tuesday ride to Touchdown Pizza just down the road from the current start/finish at Old Stone Vino.

The large parking lot is on the corner of Rogers Lake Rd and Main St in Kannapolis. The address is:

1316-B S Main St, Kannapolis, 28081
(googling this will show this address on google maps as Giovanni's Pizza - Giovanni's has moved from this location)
Start time is still 6p for now.

We will also have a minor route change for the A/B ride for safety reasons.

It's too bleeping cold!

31bdf-snowy-bike-lane Ok, Ok, Ok, even us die hards have our limits.  Until the temperature warms up, we are starting the Saturday SAMBO ride at 10 AM until further notice.  As always meet up at the Right Gear for a great group ride!

Now Taking Pre-Orders for C4 Clothing

C4_jacket We are now taking Pre-Orders for second round of C4 clothing order through Hincapie Sportswear.  We have added a new Winter Weight Jacket and a Long Sleeve jersey to the list of available clothing.  There is a minimum order of 10 units of each piece of clothing to be able to actually place an order with Hincapie.  So make sure you get your bids in.  This Pre-Order session wil be open for 2 weeks.

To make a pre-order, go to the Store >C4 Clothing Menu and make your selectiong in the new shopping cart.  You should receive an order confirmation, but nothing will be charged at this time.   Once we determine who wants what, we will convert the shopping cart to a full blown ordering system where you can order and pay online, or via check.

Winter Spin Sessions Start Next Week!

bike-trainerWe will be starting up indoor, spin/trainer sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:15pm (till ~7:30pm) beginning next week, Tues 10/26. Shawn Fleming will be leading them. Normally, the Tuesday sessions will be at the Cabarrus Creamery (in the art studio space behind the Creamery, thx Hunter!) in Concord. The Thursday sessions will be in the Activity Center at Kimball Lutheran Church (thx John Glass!) in Kannapolis - Cannon Village. However, for the first week only, both sessions (10/26 and 10/28) will be at the Creamery. The sessions are free.

We have the following goals in mind:
1) maintaining core fitness and muscle tone gained this year
2) building aerobic base for 1st half of winter (until Jan)
3) ramping up and increasing anaerobic threshold for the 2nd half of winter (Jan-Mar)
4) carrying on our group ride "social" atmosphere
5) assist riders with proper pedaling techniques
Much like our group rides, these sessions will accommodate any level of rider, so come out and join us.
You will need to bring your own bike, trainer (pls, no wind trainers - so we can all carry on a conversation), and towel.
I hope to see all of you in the spin sessions. Don't lose the fitness you gained this year!
